Receiving & Reordering Packages from Dailies Vendor
When you receive a package from your Dailies Vendor, you’ll receive an email notification. Select the link to open the files in CORE. If you aren’t already logged in, you’ll be prompted to do so. The Dailies Vendor should have sent you the package with the ability to Forward and Modify. If they forgot and you are unable to modify the package, create a new package with the same files by following the instructions for Reorder Package Via List in Package Panel.
Note: Reordering files is best done in Chrome. 5th Kind is working on improvements to upgrade this experience across browsers which will be rolled out in 2022 Q3 and Q4 respectively.
Reorder Package Via Thumbnails
To reorder via thumbnails:
- Select the package in your Inbox to open it.
- Select the thumbnail of the file you want to move and hover over the files where you want to place it.
- An Insert Here box will appear. Drop the file there.
- Repeat until complete.
Your package can now be shared by selecting the Share icon at the top . Follow the sharing instructions on page 3.
Reorder Package Via List in Package Panel
If reordering by thumbnails just isn’t working, you can reorder the package via the Package Panel, with a couple extra steps:
- Select the package in your Inbox to open it.
- Go to the right side bar, and select the Package icon
. This will open the Package Panel.
- Select the +New button.
- Copy and paste the name of your package into the Enter Name field or give it a new name as desired. Hit the Create button.
- Select the + icon in the top bar. This will add the files as a list in the Package Panel.
- To reorder the files within this list, select the gray bar on the left of each file to drag it to a new position.
- Repeat until complete.
Your package can now be shared by selecting the Share button at the bottom of the panel.
Resharing Dailies Packages (Film)
Once your package has been reordered and is ready to send, share it. You will send two packages:
- Share Package with Studio for redistribution
|

Categorize / Tag Your Files
