- Edit your Anti-malware (Emsisoft) settings
-- Click on the "up" arrow on the bottom right of the screen near the weather area on the Start bar.
-- Left click on the shield icon for Emsisoft
-- Click on Settings -> Exclusions
-- Add the path to asperaconnect\bin to both 'scanning' and 'monitoring'
-- Add the binary in both 'scanning' and 'monitoring' areas for good measure
- If still not working, reinstall Aspera Connect by right clicking on the newly downloaded Aspera installation file -> Run As Administrator
