Sending an Approvals Package
Creating an approvals packages is the same as any other package. Once you have assets collected make sure the following are set before sharing:
- Select the thumbs up for Approvals
- Choose either "Thumbs up/down" or any of the possible Status.
In this example we will use thumbs up/down
Receiving an Approval's Package
When users get an approval package they will see the thumbs up symbol in their inbox.
Approve or Reject
When an asset has not been evaluated by users yet, the assets shows no approvals in its history.
The most common thing for a recipient to do on an approval package is thumbs up or thumbs down. These are votes that a user has on these assets. Below the asset, a thumbs up and thumbs down icon appear below the asset.
Thumbs up and Thumbs down votes can be changed. Please see this tutorial for more details.
Users can also add comments to their votes when they cast them.
Status Approvals
Status approvals change the status tag of an asset. These are frequently color coded, and they are mutually exclusive. In this case approved has been selected in fuchsia. Two other status are colored orange and yellow. Greenlit is unselected, and has no color coding.
In order to set status on an approval package it must have been sent with as a Status Approval package, and not a Thumbs up/down Approval package.
Completing approvals
As the user makes approvals, they will see the thumbs up and thumbs down icon in the package. They will also see the total votes.
When the user is done with all of their approvals, they can click Complete Approvals to let others know their part is finished.
